COVID-19 VACCINE

As part of our ongoing effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect our community from disease, Southwest District Health is helping to distribute and administer vaccine. This distribution follows the priority groups recommended by Idaho’s COVID-19 Vaccine Advisory Committee (CVAC) and approved by Governor Brad Little. The vaccine is delivered on a schedule determined by federal partners, helping to distribute vaccine to states around the United States. If you have any questions about the CVAC or the priority groups, please visit the committee’s website. Or send a message.

If you are looking for a healthcare evaluation to get tested for COVID-19, please contact a local hospital or your local healthcare provider. If you do not have a provider please dial 211 for assistance. If you are experiencing a health emergency please dial 911. See this page for more information about testing.

As of April 1, 2021, all Idahoans aged 16+ can now access COVID-19 vaccine in Adams, Canyon, Gem, Owyhee, Payette, and Washington Counties.

A vaccine for COVID-19 is only one of the ways to stop the spread of the disease. Because the supply of vaccine will be limited at first, doing other things to help stop the spread will be just as important as it is now. This means still wearing a face mask, staying at least 6-feet away from others, washing your hands often, and staying home if you are sick.
