Healthy Living
Health and wellness is shaped by the places where people live, work, and play. A team of health promotion educators at Southwest District Health (SWDH) works in partnership with our community to identify health needs, develop interventions, and participate in community events. Promoting healthy communities and healthy lifestyles includes actively promoting activities that improve health and wellness in a population, such as investing in healthy families; engaging communities to change policy, systems or environments, and to promote positive health or prevent adverse health outcomes. We are committed to greater engagement in the overall health of our community and actively encourage community members to join us this.
