We welcome students wanting to gain experience in promoting health in the public health setting. We have opportunities for students studying community health, health education, public health, dietetics, and medical assisting. We provide real work experience in the areas of tobacco prevention & cessation, adolescent pregnancy prevention, obesity prevention, maternal and child nutrition and diabetes education among others. Our internship opportunities do not provide compensation. We do provide flexible schedules and work to meet the student’s needs in terms of personal interest and internship hour requirements. Potential interns are interviewed before placement to ensure a good fit and required to provide immunization records. Contact Barb Felty for more information.
